If you're wanting to get out and see the stars this weekend, there's no better place for it than Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

This weekend, September 23-25, the park in Historic Medora will host 'Dakota Nights Astronomy Festival.' The three-day festival will celebrate a brilliant night sky that helped influence cultures of American Indian tribes, while also inspiring space exploration. The festival will include lots of star-gazing, nightly presentations from speakers, rocket building and launching, solar system hikes, crafts and activities for the kids, and more.

The festival will be highlight by three nights of star-gazing with telescopes at Peaceful Valley Ranch. Stories, myths, and legends will be told throughout as you view your way around the star field.

There's something for everyone in the family this weekend at Theodore Roosevelt National Park. A full schedule of all the daily events can be found by clicking the link: Dakota Nights Astronomy Festival.
