Make this the year you finally experience the glory of the UTTC Powwow.

It's hard to overemphasize how truly unforgettable your first powwow experience is going to be. From the moment you enter the grounds of the 52nd Annual United Tribes Technical College International Powwow you will be immersed in a vibrant cultural event that holds its traditions sacred through the involvement of all generations.

It's not only a cultural celebration but also a heated competition.

With cooler temperatures on tap for the weekend, thankfully the contests will be the only thing heating up!  To maximize your powwow experience check out the full schedule on the official United Tribes Powwow website.  Make sure your visit includes at least one of the four Grand Entries.  Friday, September 9 at 7:00 pm, Saturday, September 10 at both 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm, the final Grand Entry is scheduled for Sunday at 1:00 pm.

This is a contest powwow, singers and dancers compete for serious prize money.

By "serious money", I'm talking $15,000 for first place in the Singing Contest.  Significant money is also awarded in traditional and modern dance categories.  The regalia worn by not just competitors but spectators alike is nothing short of breathtaking.  Come hungry as there are free feeds scheduled and a great selection of food trucks will be on hand.

Military veterans will be honored and traditions upheld.

It's like no event you've seen before.  September 9-11 at the United Tribes Technical College in South Bismarck.  Discover why the International Powwow is known as the Home of the Champions!
