The iconic towers at the North Dakota and Canadian borders are coming down at the International Peace Garden.

The state legislatures put aside funds to repair the towers. But after further review it was determined that it would be too costly to repair.

The state Legislature has approved $200,000 for the state Parks and Recreation Department to demolish the four 120-foot-tall  towers.

The director of the park said the weather has taken it toll on the structures and they are crumbling.

How disappointing is this? What are your thoughts?
