March Madness gets underway this weekend for college basketball, but there'll be a different type of madness happening at the Frozen Faceoff on Friday.

After a sweep of Omaha over the weekend, the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks men's hockey team waited to find out who they would take on at the Frozen Faceoff in St. Paul, MN. Their opponent was announced Monday morning.

UND (16-12-10) will take on St. Cloud State (24-7-6) at 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon (March 16th) at the Xcel Energy Center while Denver (20-9-8) will battle Minnesota-Duluth (21-14-3) in the nightcap at 7:30 p.m. The winner of each game will then play Saturday night (March 17th) at 7:30 p.m. The winner of the Frozen Faceoff will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. There will also be a third-place game for the tournament played on Saturday afternoon.

St. Cloud State is currently the number-one ranked team in Division I men's hockey. UND had a record of 0-2-2 against the Huskies during the regular season.

The semifinals and championship games will be televised on the CBS Sports Network.
