It's been hard to keep up with the news as world seems to be spiraling out of control - and it has been for a while. We North Dakotans are fairly sheltered from what's happening "in the rest of the world." Sure, we do have a wild news story once in a while. But these days, I can't log into Facebook without being bombarded by tragic North Dakota news.
Here's yet another new story about a tragic death, without a lot of details - a man was found dead in a Mandan trailer court early this morning. According to police, it doesn't appear like the person died, naturally. It actually looks like there may have been foul play involved in this death.
According to KFYR-TV, at about 3:30 this morning (June 1), police were called to a Mandan trailer court. The reason? A man was lying face down on the sidewalk. The report says that, when the police and an ambulance arrived, the man was already deceased. As of now, we don't have much information. The cause of death was unknown and is being investigated as a homicide.
This news is very unsettling. It's always sad when someone passes away, but a possible murder? That takes "disturbing" to another level. If there truly is foul play, we all need to practice caution. Hopefully, the Mandan police can get to the bottom of it, and solve this case ASAP.
