UTTC Celebrates Female Saint This Weekend
Head over to United Tribes Technical College to celebrate the first recognized Native American female saint St.Kateri Tekakwitha. The event is bought to you by the diocese of Bismarck and United Tribes Technical College.
Saturday festivities
- Registration begins at 4 p.m. today
- At 6 p.m.be a part of the grand entry at the James Henry Community Center on the United Tribes Technical College campus.
- 7 p.m. Dancers perform traditional, fancy,grass and jingles dances
- 8 p.m. Eucharistic adoration and prayers for healing
Sunday festivities
- 10 a.m. Mark Thiel, archivist of Native Catholic collections and co-author of "Native Footsteps: Along the Path of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha"
- 11 a.m. St.Kateri video
- 12 p.m. Lunch
- 2 p.m. Mass
- 3:30 p.m. Round Dance open to public
