Rock & Roll – Walk, Run, & Roll in Bismarck for a Good Cause in September

The Bismarck-Mandan community is invited to the Dreams in Motion "Rock & Roll - Walk, Run, & Roll" coming up in September! It is a fundraising event for differently abled people in sports. You can sign-up for the fun for a cause through Eventbrite.

What is Dreams in Motion?

People of all abilities enjoy sports, and Dreams in Motion is here to provide a fun experience for those who are differently abled. According to the Dreams in Motion Facebook page, the nonprofit is open to "individuals with mobility challenges or visual impairments." I also spoke to Dreams in Motion Secretary, Nicole Eckroth, and she told me that the organization has grown a lot in the past decade.

People can compete nationally in events with Dreams in Motion.

Dreams in Motion is definitely living up to its name. Nicole said that, when Dreams in Motion began, sled hockey was the only sport offered. Now, people can participate in track and field, skiing, wheelchair basketball, soccer tennis, dance, and more! And not only can people do all these things, they can also compete on a national level. Nicole said that there are individuals who have been awarded at national tournaments.
