Many North Dakotans wait until after Thanksgiving to put their Christmas trees up, but if you're like me, you had no chill and got to working on that thing right when the clock struck November 1.

When To Take Your Tree Down

We all have different opinions on when to put the tree up, but what about taking it down? Personally, I think taking it down the day after Christmas is Grinchy behavior. You have to ease into it.

I thought it would be interesting to see when experts say that you should take the tree down. I found an article from Good Morning America, and it said, across the board, most of us agree that the tree should come down on New Year's Day.

While I get it, you're free of all the winter holidays by January 1st, don't you love the warm glow on these cold winter nights? I say keep it up at least a week or two into the new year. After all, you put all that work into making it look beautiful with ornaments and tinsel.

True Story: I didn't take my tree down last year until the second week of March - not because I'm that much of a Christmas freak, it was mainly laziness.
