Will North Dakota Ever Legalize Recreational Pot?

I remember the days when marijuana was rarely seen, sure it was smelled, but it was also hidden

Maybe you found yourself at a party quite a while ago, and the smell of something strange wafted through the air. There usually was a circle of about 2-3 people sneaking a thin rolled-up item between them. Our society was not ready to embrace it like it slowly has now. I never would have thought that pot one day would be legal.

In California, you can just walk into a store and buy weed like it's a gallon of milk

That still blows me away. I moved to Fargo, North Dakota from San Diego, California in 2014. In November of 2016 voters out there made it legal for the recreational use of cannabis - pot. There are certain stores that provide it, just like a liquor store does with alcohol. My question to you is, will North Dakota ever legalize recreational marijuana?

After all, we are in the year 2022

People and their ideas change, they see things differently than they did 50 years ago. Marijuana is being already sold here in North Dakota if you have are a North Dakota Medical Card. There are supporters out here in North Dakota who are trying to legalize recreational marijuana. Their goal is for people over the age of 21 to be able to purchase pot legally.

31,164 signatures were needed by last month

According to the bismarcktribune.com "Supporters of a ballot measure to legalize recreational marijuana through North Dakota's constitution have again fallen short of signatures to prompt a public vote" They ended up getting just over half of that target number - "...the group gathered 19,500 signatures in its one-year time limit" bismarcktribune.com added. Will this happen one day? Will North Dakota ease into the frame of mind that people can smoke pot legally at home if they are of age?
