Will Relaxed COVID Restrictions Get Us Back To “North Dakota Normal”?
We are not even two weeks into 2021, and the COVID-19 restrictions in North Dakota are being relaxed. And the Red River Valley Fair (West Fargo) has been scheduled for 2021. And Country Music superstar and "The Celebrity Apprentice - All Stars" champion, Trace Adkins, was announced as the fair's first concert headliner! Is North Dakota finally beginning to "restart"?
Newsdakota.com confirms that, starting today (January 8), Governor Doug Burgum officially gave the "ok" for North Dakota bars and restaurants can increase their capacities from 50% to 65%. And events, such as weddings, can increase capacity from 25% to 50%. The standard stipulations for social / physical distancing apply:
- Wear masks/ face coverings (except when eating or drinking in the seated position)
- Closed Dance Areas <<< Anyone getting Footloose vibes?
- Service to seated patrons ONLY
I hope North Dakota can effectively relax restrictions. Life is pretty grim these days, but I am trying to see a silver lining this year. I am looking forward to doing fun things I used to do and took for granted. Check out what I look most forward to doing, post-pandemic!
