Backpacks for Kids Needs You

I get tons of emails and anything that mentions helping kids grabs me immediately and makes me think 'what do we need to get done'? The Backpacks for Kids program in Bismarck-Mandan needs our help immediately. Backpacks for Kids sends food home in children's backpacks for the weekend to make sure they have healthy, nutrition when they are away from school. The program is currently serving 460 plus students in 28 schools across our community.

Backpacks for Kids is organized by the Community Action Program and there are 3 immediate needs you can help with :

1) Backpacks

2) Food donations - Cereal, granola/yogurt bars, applesauce, pudding, canned dinners, peanut butter, jelly, bread, crackers, snacks, fruits. Individual portioned items are best.
