A little encouragement and support

Closet 127, a charity organization in the Bismarck-Mandan area, asks the community to share hand-written notes and pictures for the people they serve. The goal is to uplift and inspire. The letters and photographs will be distributed in "Welcome Home" buckets - buckets given to individuals and families filled with cleaning supplies, grocery gift cards, and other household items.

What does Closet 127 do?

Glad you asked! Founded by Rachael Howard, owner of 3andME Mobile Coffee Shop, the organization gives people the opportunity to gain independence. They provide furniture and household items to individuals and families who are leaving unhealthy situations and want to start fresh. They invite their clients to "shop" for any items they may need; however, there are no prices. They only request a small donation of at least $1 and one hour of volunteer service at the Closet.

It's not just about the physical stuff.

While the organization takes care of some external things, like home furniture, and other household items, they don't forget that words are powerful.

Howard says the "Share Hope" campaign will be an ongoing effort.

Letters can be dropped off at 830 S. 18th Street, Bismarck, in the white mailbox at the front door.
