Ready to say goodbye to the dumpster fire, that we called 2020?  Well, get ready to ring in the new year with the Mayor of Bismarck Steve Bakken, and his New Years Eve Gala.

Due to COVID-19, the event will not be celebrated in person.  The silent auction is going on now through December 31st at 7 pm.  Auction items can be found at https://www.32auctions.com/ccchristmas. There will also be higher-valued items as featured items on the auction, that would have normally been live auction items.

Raffle tickets are also on sale now for the Mayor's New Year's Eve Gala. Items this year include a 2021 See-Doo Spark 2up & Trailer from Moritz Sport & Marine, a 2021 Arctic Cat Alterra 450 ATV from Dvorak Motorsports, 1.5 CTW Lab Grown Diamond Stud Earrings from Schumacher Diamond and a Traeger Gen 2 Timberline 1300 Wood Pellet Grill from Scheels. Drawing will be held December 31, 2020.

Get your tickets today by calling 355-1370 and speak with Irene.

At midnight, 2021 begins with a Memory Fireworks display over the Bismarck Event Center.  As I said before, 2020 was a dumpster fire, so it only makes sense to blow things up right?  Mayor Bakken has promised me this is going to be one heck of a show, sure to have you forgetting all about mask mandates, toilet paper shortages and COVID-19 all together.  Help Capital City Christmas and Dakota West Arts Council support arts and culture in our community by taking part in this year's events going on now through December 31st.
