Can High Schoolers Carry Pepper Spray In North Dakota?

While North Dakota is pretty safe, you can never be too careful.

Walking home from school, riding bikes around town, leaving late night hockey or dance practice, or even hanging out at our local parks... danger could be lurking.

Protecting Yourself

While most of us don't even think about restrictions when it comes to buying pepper spray, states do have them.

Obviously, you wouldn't want a little kid to be carrying pepper spray, because they might use it in an inappropriate situation, or as a toy.

What About High Schoolers?

While it may be true that not every high school student is mature enough to carry such a thing, should that be the case for all, and is it a rule?

According to World Population Review, several states restrict who can buy and carry pepper spray by age.

Not only that, but some states have restrictions on size and capacity of the pepper spray too.

This is true for the following states:

Nevada, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, and many others.

What About North Dakota?

North Dakota is one of several states that does not have restrictions on size or capacity of pepper spray, according to the source.

World Population Review also explains that it is implied that anyone under the age of 18 cannot buy pepper spray.

As far as I can tell, you do need to be 18 to buy and carry the product, but if you go to Wal Mart, the product isn't locked in a case. Odd....
