The North Dakota Capitol went into lockdown mode earlier today after Dakota Access Pipeline protesters swarmed around the building.

According to the Bismarck Tribune, protesters began singing, "We will not be moved." Others prayed in a circle near the entrance. The protesters then circled the Capitol grounds. Soon after, a total of fourteen protesters were arrested on the charge of disorderly conduct.

Several of the protesters refused to stand or walk as the arrests took place.

Argus Leader reports that the building was on lockdown sometime between 3:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m., Thursday afternoon.
