Carson Wentz Makes NFL’s Top 10 on the ‘Top 100′ Players List
NFL Network's 'Top 100 Players of 2018' list is down to the top 10. That list of players has been leaked and Carson Wentz is on that list.
North Dakota's favorite quarterback has been voted by the players in the NFL into the top 10 players in the entire league. That speaks volumes given the fact that Carson Wentz is only about to play his third season as a pro.
The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback joins the best of the best that will be counted down from 10 to 1 on Monday night (June 25th) on the NFL Network at 7 p.m. CST. Here are the players in alphabetical order that made the top 10:
Le'Veon Bell, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Tom Brady, QB, New England Patriots
Drew Brees, QB, New Orleans Saints
Antonio Brown, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
Aaron Donald, DT, Los Angeles Rams
Todd Gurley, RB, Los Angeles Rams
Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons
Von Miller, LB, Denver Broncos
Aaron Rodgers, QB, Green Bay Packers
Carson Wentz, QB, Philadelphia Eagles
Only the elite players in the league are typically voted to such a list, but with the year Wentz had last season, it's not much of a surprise to see him receive such high acclaim.
If we were to predict where Wentz will end up amongst the top 10, where will it be? NFL.com's Adam Schein predicts that he'll take the #4 ranking on this list and had this to say about the Eagles quarterback:
Too high? Too low? Wentz was going to get my Associated Press MVP vote before tearing up his knee in Week 14. He carried the Eagles in the regular season and made everyone better around him. Wentz was the reason Philly had homefield in the postseason. Pretty crucial for the eventual Super Bowl champs, considering they barely snuck by the Falcons in their opening playoff game.
Fellow top 10 player on that list and all-pro Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller said in a recent interview, "If he wouldn't have got hurt, he would most likely have been the MVP." That's pretty high praise from one of the top defensive players in the NFL.
Regardless of where Wentz ends up on Monday night's list, we can't wait to see more from the Eagles quarterback when he's ready to take the field again.
