Do You Live In A Neighborhood Near A Sex Offender In North Dakota

A neighbor friend of mine recently told me I live close to a sex offender.  In fact, I jog by his home every day.  When she told me what happened in my little neighborhood I was kind of shocked.  I know I shouldn't be.  There are bad people everywhere, but you never expect them right down from the block from you.

Being the curious individual that I am I decided to do some more digging, and I ran across this website from the state of North Dakota that tracks sex offenders.  It not only shows you where they live, but you can actually type in your address and find out how many of these sexual predators live within 1/2 mile to 5 miles from your residence.  Again, kind of shocking.  It's called the North Dakota Sex Offender Registry from the office of the North Dakota Attorney General.

If you happen to know the name of the sex offender, you can also search by name on the Sex Offender Registry site.  After searching, you even have options to map offenders and even track offenders when you sign up for email notifications.  You can also get details about the offender.  Like the description of the crime, the conviction date, the jurisdiction and state, and what their sentence is.
