2,500 tickets were made available to the public for Donald Trump's appearance at the 2016 Williston Basin Petroleum Conference on May 26th. In just over 24 hours, they were nearly all gone.

1,200 tickets went on sale to the public online Monday and were gone almost immediately, according to the Grand Forks Herald.

The other 1,200 went on sale Tuesday morning at 11:30 a.m. at the Bismarck Event Center box office, where people lined up to make sure they could get their seat. By 12 p.m., the majority of those seats were gone, too.

Amanda Bakkedahl with the Bismarck Event Center confirmed that tickets were sold out both online and by phone, though some did remain at the box office.

If you didn't get a ticket to see 'The Donald' speak, there is the possibility that more tickets will be made available to the public. That is all dependent on how many people register for the Williston Basin Petroleum Conference, which currently sits at just over 2,000 registrants.

The 2016 Williston Basin Petroleum Conference will be held May 24th through the 26th at the Bismarck Event Center and will also feature an appearance by former NFL and college football head coach Lou Holtz.
