We've been doing First Responder Recognition for a while now, and every week, I read new stories about the amazing heroes in our North Dakota communities. It's so hard to choose one person, because each nominee is truly amazing and selfless. But this week, a story about a woman named Angie A. stood out for me. Keep reading to learn more about this wonderful grandmother and hero.

Angie's sister nominated her for First Responder Recognition. Now, I'm not sure if this hero ever wears a cape or not, but Angie's a true superhero. Her sister wrote about how tirelessly Angie works as an EMT in Steele, ND. But that's not the only way that she helps keep her town safe. Angie is also a member of Steele's fire department, along with her husband and son. Sounds like Angie belongs to a family of heroes.

Thank you to Angie A. and everyone else who selflessly works for their communities. Even though this has been a trying time for everyone, heroes like Angie will always be on the front lines, here to make our communities better and safer. Remember to show appreciation for our heroes.

Do you have a hero you want to celebrate? Nominate him/ her for First Responder Recognition. If your nominee gets featured, you will see him/ her on our websites and hear about them on our stations. They will also be in the running for our monthly grand prize from Bismarck Heating & Air, Peacock Alley, and 40 Steak & Seafood.
