I came home from work the other night and had a big shock.

The Mrs. was watching a Hallmark Christmas movie.  Wink wink.  She typically starts doing this as early as October.

I personally don't get it, but I don't mind a Hallmark Christmas show in December.  Especially if there's an attractive lady in the show.  I sometimes get sucked in. This was the case the other night, but then I was blindsided when North Dakota became part of the plot.

The name of the special is "Every Christmas Has a Story."

Now, this is an older special.  After a little research online I found out this show actually came out back in 2016.  However, it was brand new to me as I'd never seen it before.

Without giving away the whole story, the setting went to a fictitious place in North Dakota known as "Hollyvale."  Kind of like the movie Coyote Ugly mentions a fictitious city known as Piedmont, North Dakota.

I don't know why they couldn't just pick a real city like "Wing" but whatever Hollywood.

Bismarck even made the movie but it was an epic fail.  There was a brief scene where they had to fly into the Capital City before their drive up north to Hollyvale.  What was fake, you could tell they used a snow machine, and the production was done on set and not filmed in North Dakota of course.

The movie stars a very recognizable face Lori Loughlin, who is known for her work on older Hallmark shows like this.  She was also famous for her time on "Full House" or "Fuller House."

Most recently she was in the news for her daughter's college scandal that landed her a short time in prison, and a slap on the wrist Hollywood fine.

If you are looking for a "feel good" holiday movie, this fits the bill but like most Hallmark movies a very predictable cheesy ending.
