What's the cardinal rule in baseball? No cheating, right? Wrong, just ask the Houston Astros what their philosophy is on that. Let's see, ahh there's NO crying in baseball (unless you are the one who actually wasted your hard-earned money buying a ticket to see that 1992 snooze fest "A League of Their Own" starring Tom Hankerchief. I'll go ahead and tell you what all ballplayers know already. From the very young, to the high schoolers across the country, and the rising stars in the minor leagues, the NUMBER one rule is ALWAYS KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE BALL. While taking swings in batting practice, or shagging ground balls out in the infield, NEVER TAKE YOUR EYES OFF THE BALL. I'm going to go ahead and guess that's exactly what Minnesota Twins centerfielder Rob Refsnyder was thinking this past Monday afternoon when Baltimore Orioles Ryan Mountcastle crushed a fly ball out his way.

Now I know this from experience, I played some ball when I was young, the problem being though I couldn't hit a curve, or a slider, or a fastball. If it was on a tee, then maybe. In my brief career though, one thing was never brought up - beware of what's called a FENCE. As I continue with the Orioles - Twins game, Rob did everything by the book.....he NEVER TOOK HIS EYES OFF THE BALL, and forgot about the fence behind him. Ouch. HuffPost is calling this "One Of The Greatest Sports Bloopers Of All Time"   - See what you think, AND always remember ALWAYS KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE FENCE!
