It’s National Dessert Day! [PHOTOS]

Did you know today was National Dessert Day? Now you do!

If honor of such a marvelous holiday, I thought I'd share a recent dessert that I made while bored at home one night.

The cake above was from my son's 7th birthday a couple of weeks ago. He wanted a rainbow cake, so I went to the store and made it happen! (This is all from mixes... I'm not that talented yet). When I put this cake together, it left me with a lot of scraps from each of the layers as I leveled off the cakes. What did I decide to do with those?

Why not dry them out in the oven and make a rainbow bread pudding!

To anyone that tries this in the future... I'd leave out the sugar in your custard... got a little too sweet.
