Local Mandan Downtown Diner Closed

The Mandan Soda and Fountain Shop will not reopen their doors in the New Year. According to a press release sent over the weekend, health issues continue to plague the cook.

Maintenance was performed on the back exterior of the Mandan Diner about three months ago to prevent water from entering the building. Since that time, the owner/cook's health has slowly worsened.

The Mandan Diner and Soda Fountain Shop is a local favorite offering daily plate lunches and old fashion sodas and malts.

The shop was located on Main Street in Mandan. Formally the Mandan Drug Store, it kept the old charm of the drug store interior. The store opened in July 2013. The store owners were Susan and Dave Leingang.
