Mall of America Hopes to Attract More North Dakota Oil Field Visitors
The Mall of America is hoping to draw more oil field workers and their families through a new commercial that advertises for the mall and the Radisson Blu Hotel.
The twin cities is a popular weekend getaway for many North Dakotans and most visits often include a day at the Mall of America.
The Mall of America sees about 40 million visitors per year, 40 percent of these visitors are not from Minnesota. Most of that 40 percent is made up of people from the Midwest.
Appealing to the oil field audience will only increase their annual visitor numbers. In the new ad a customer is checking into his hotel. He explains he works in the North Dakota oil fields but is meeting his family for the weekend.
