Mall Of America No Longer Opening June 1
As a kid, getting to go to the Cities was pretty much the coolest thing ever. We'd go for a play, a football game, shopping, Cheesecake Factory; and of course, The Mall of America. To this day, I think the Mall of America is one of the funnest places to visit. If you were planning a Mall of America excursion for the reopening on June 1, it looks like it's not going to happen.
The Mall of America is still one of the funnest places to visit on a road trip. I love that you can do everything under the sun all in one place. Besides shopping, you can ride roller coasters at Nickelodeon Universe, black light mini golf, visit the aquarium, and more. But the fun will have to wait a bit longer.
The Mall of America (MOA) in Bloomington, Minnesota was set to open on Monday (June 1). According to the Mall of America's website, that is no longer happening. Unfortunately, it also doesn't look like we still don't have an opening date at all. It also appears that the decision to remain closed is very recent, as a Facebook post from May 27 (Wednesday) states that the MOA would reopen some stores with limited hours on June first.
I was planning a trip to the Cities with my girls this year. We took a road trip last May and took in a brunch drag show downtown. We ate at the best places, partied at the funnest bars, spent a day at the Mall of America, and rounded out the trip with a shopping adventure at the Albertville Outlet Mall. I'm hoping we can still do that before 2020 is over.
What is your favorite thing to do at the Mall of America?
