Just over five years after his unexpected and tragic passing, The Purple One is dropping new music!

According to the New York Times, Prince's estate will soon be releasing never-before-heard music from the Paisley Park Vault. The upcoming 12-track album, titled "Welcome 2 America" is reported to be a political album, relevant to the current times - though it was created over a decade ago. I once had the opportunity to see Prince perform at The MYTH in Maplewood, Minnesota. It is a tiny, intimate nightclub, where any spot you stand is close to the stage. It would have been a mind-blowing show! But, the show happened to be the same weekend as my little brother's high school graduation. Unfortunately, I never got another chance to see one of my favorite icons live.
