North Dakotans are huge on family. We believe it's one of the things that matters most in life. Many of us started families this year, or are planning to in the future. If that's the case, you might find this interesting.

It's crazy to think that we're already halfway through the year, but since we are, I thought it might be interesting to take a look at the most popular baby name of 2025 (so far).

I stumbled across a report from Live Now Fox, where they looked at the Social Security Administration's list of baby names broken down by state. With that, they found the most popular baby name in North Dakota

You might think it's something North Dakota-inspired/culturally specific, but no. It's not Dakota, or Theodore, Prairie, or River.

No, North Dakota's number one baby name this year is Oliver, followed by Henry. Hey, you can't be mad at it; those are very classic, respectable names.

What about girl names?

The source found that the top girl names are Evelyn and Amelia. Both, again, are great names.

It seems like North Dakotans are favoring classic names, while things are a little different when you look at the overall top baby names in the country.

The number one boy name in the United States is Liam, which is against everything I stand for as a Miley Cyrus stan, and the number one girl name in the country is Olivia.

Have you heard any unique names around North Dakota lately? Let us know what they are in the app.
