Why It Seems North Dakotans Hate Christmas
Look, I know we haven't made it to Halloween or Thanksgiving yet, but I stumbled upon some news today, and I feel I need to share it.
When it comes to Christmas, I'm a bit of a planner. I like to start brainstorming gift ideas as early as possible. I have lists upon lists in my notes app. While doing my Christmas recon, I found something that is quite disturbing.
A study was done by Preply, looking at which states enjoy the Christmas holiday the most. I opened it up, expecting to see North Dakota as one of the highest-ranked states, but I was shocked at what I saw.

North Dakotans don't seem to like Christmas hardly at all. The study looked at Google Search data to come up with these rankings.
North Dakota = Christmas Haters
You have to love the warm, fuzzy feelings Christmas brings. You also have to love all the foods, decorations, and the way the holiday brings everyone together. Or, at least I thought most of us loved it.

North Dakota ranked nearly at the bottom. I know, it's crazy, right? When compared to all other states, we came in at number 45. When did we become a bunch of Grinches?!
The only states that ranked below North Dakota in Christmas spirit were Alaska, Wyoming, South Dakota, Montana, and Mississippi.
Oh, and the state with the most Christmas-related Google searches? That's none other than Utah.
