New businesses are popping up in North Dakota left and right. For the most part, it's been restaurants and clothing stores.

Something A Little Different

This new business is certainly not a restaurant. Yep, North Dakota is getting a Build-A-Bear Workshop!

I remember going to Build-A-Bear for the first time; I didn't ever get to go as a kid, so I treated myself to the experience when I was 22 -- don't judge me. Yes, I built a bear as a grown adult with no children present.

Now, North Dakota parents will be able to give their kids the same fun experience I had.

Build-A-Bear Where?

I'm sure you're wondering where the Build-A-Bear Workshop will be located. Look for it in Fargo's West Acres mall.

The announcement came form the mall's Facebook page.

The post says the store will be opening in a few weeks, but they didn't give an exact date. It did say it would be a freestanding location in the hallway, next to the food court.

Check out the post:

For birthdays, or even just for fun, this will be a great thing to bring to the area. It's even a fun thing to treat your kids to during the winter, when it's too cold to be outside.

About Build-A-Bear

I just had to explain to one of my coworkers what a "Build-A-Bear" is, and I'm still confused as to how he's never heard of it.

If you don't know, it's a little store where you literally build a bear from the ground up. You choose the fur color, you stuff it with cotton, you can record messages for when you squeeze them and even pick out really detailed/elaborate outfits.

Kids LOVE going here.

Make sure you try it out when it opens and stay tuned for more updates.
