North Dakota Now Knows First Opponent of Big Sky Conference Tournament

#1 seed North Dakota now knows their first opponent of the Big Sky Conference Tournament in men's basketball.

Portland St. defeated Northern Arizona, 80-67 in the first round matchup in the Big Sky Tournament. The #8 seed Vikings (16-15) advance as they will take on the Fighting Hawks (19-9) in the quarterfinal round.

Deontae North lead Portland St. with 25 points in the victory for the Vikings.

UND and Portland St. will play at 12:05 p.m. on Thursday. That game can be streamed live at the Watch Big Sky link.

The winner of that matchup will play the winner of #4 seed Idaho and #5 seed Montana. The game will begin following the UND vs. Portland St. matchup.

UND can earn their first NCAA Tournament bid with a conference tournament championship.
