The holiday season is here; we're running around shopping, looking for gifts for our friends and family members.

If you're like me, many of your family members are scattered across the country. It's not easy doing something special for them and/or exchanging gifts from long distances.

If you're trying to mail your friends and family members gifts through the postal service, you should know that there are several things you CAN'T mail, and some of them are surprising.

Why Are There No-Send Items?

The Postal Service has a list of items they won't send, not just during the holiday season, but at any time, and for the most part, this is due to safety concerns.

To help you out, I've put together a list of these things that will get rejected.

According to USAToday, the International Postal Inspection Service issued a reminder that there are items you can't send in the mail and many of them are dangerous.
