North Dakota University Students Taking Water to Flint #ND4FLINT [VIDEO]
Five Students from three North Dakota Universities are taking four car loads of bottled water from here to Flint, MI to help out with the water crisis happening there.
#ND4FLINT started as an idea from Colt Mavity, a Killdeer High School graduate currently studying at Jamestown University. After seeing an article about former NBA star Rasheed Wallace driving a truck full of water from North Carolina to Flint, Colt thought he could do the same.
After recruiting two more friends from his graduating class at Killdeer High, one at Dickinson State and the other at UND, They decided that they would all fill their cars with bottled water and see what they could do!
A GoFundMe Page has been started mostly as a resource to what they are doing, but any and all donations will go toward buying supplies for the people of Flint, MI.
Make sure to follow along with the journey on Facebook, GoFundMe, and on Twitter using #ND4FLINT.
We'll be following up with Colt on Monday to talk about what they were able to accomplish on their journey to Flint.
