North Dakota’s Most Popular Marvel Hero on Netflix

While Marvel's Avengers are off trying to protect the universe as they fight Thanos and his crew, there's another batch of Marvel heroes on Netflix. Of those, we've found out which one is the most popular in North Dakota.

Even though they aren't exactly running off to Asgard or Wakanda to fight any time soon, the Marvel heroes on Netflix are busy keeping the streets clean in Hell's Kitchen. The heroes we're discussing are Marvel's Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, The Iron Fist, and The Punisher. Basically, it's Marvel's 'Defenders' and 'The Punisher.'

Decider has done the work and found out what the most popular Netflix Marvel hero is in every state. The research was pulled from Google Trends throughout the past few years dating back to the first season of Marvel's first premiered show on Netflix, 'Marvel's Daredevil.' In North Dakota, the most popular Netflix Marvel hero is 'Marvel's The Punisher.'

The Punisher, also known as Frank Castle, is popular in the upper Midwest and is the second most popular Netflix Marvel hero throughout the U.S. It makes sense. The character is a veteran with a dark grit about him trying to do right for the greater good. Jon Bernthal plays the character to a tee and gives him more than enough edge for a great fit into The Punisher's personality.

The most popular overall character in the country is Daredevil. Matt Murdock's alter ego has had the most time for audiences to take in, given that he's had the most screen time of any of the Netflix Marvel characters and has previously had a superhero movie based on him (albeit a bad one starring Ben Affleck). Charlie Cox does a fantastic job with the small screen version of the character.

My personal pick for a favorite of the Marvel heroes on Netflix is Jessica Jones. She's a reluctant superhero as someone with crazy strength and a pretty heavy drinker that can hold her booze quite well, while also giving zero fudges (I spelled that last word wrong on purpose). Krysten Ritter brings the perfect angst to the adaptation of her character.

If you haven't seen any of these, you really can't go wrong with any of the three previously discussed. Then again, maybe you're a fan of Luke Cage or The Iron Fist. Either way, Netflix has a solid lineup of heroes keeping the streets clean for Marvel while those other guys try to fend off Thanos and company on the big screen.
