Jordan Meidinger, a junior at Dickinson High School and North Dakota's tallest high school basketball player, has verbally committed to North Dakota State University.

According to WDAY, Meidinger averaged ten points and seven rebounds per game for Dickinson last season, helping lead the team to the state tournament for the first time in seven years.

In Dickinson's Class A quarterfinal game against Fargo Davies on March 10th, Meidinger scored 13 points, on 4-of-7 shooting, and grabbed 14 rebounds. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to lift the Midgets to victory, as they lost in overtime 91-86

In the Class A consolation game on March 11th, Meidinger put up 12 points, while only pulling down five rebounds in the Midgets loss to Century.

The 7-footer will enroll at NDSU in the fall of 2017.
