One More Win Puts North Dakota in Little League World Series
Team North Dakota based out of Fargo is just one win away from advancing to the Little League World Series. It would be the first time a team representing North Dakota has made an appearance in the LLWS.
Earlier this week, the team from Fargo beat Coon Rapids, MN, 6-0 to advance to the Midwest Regional final. Fargo will play the winner of Coon Rapids, MN and Des Moines, IA on Saturday morning at 10 a.m in Westfield, IN, which will also be televised on ESPN.
Fargo has already beaten both teams once, as they previously defeated Des Moines, IA, 4-1 in the Midwest Regional tournament.
In previous years, teams from North Dakota or South Dakota have been represented by a single Little League district and this is the first year a team from North Dakota has represented the district.
Should Fargo (ND) advance to the Little League World Series, they would play the Mid-Atlantic Regional winner on Thursday, August 16th at 2 p.m.
