Walk around Bismarck with caution!

A man saw something a little startling in his backyard earlier today (Thursday, October 19th). He quickly pulled out his phone and recorded what he saw.

Take a look at this video:

A Coyote

No matter how you pronounce it, I think we can all agree we don't want these creatures roaming in our yards and/or getting too close to us.

The coyote was first spotted in Grande Prairie, and according to the estate's Facebook page, it was heading west down Hillsboro Drive toward Hay Creek.

The man who took the video, Matt Sagaser, said in his Facebook post that the animal didn't seem frightened by humans and was interested in his garage.

Residents of Bismarck are being cautioned; this is a danger to children and small pets.

Be On The Look Out

If you happen to spot the coyote in your neighborhood, go inside and notify the proper Facebook groups and authorities in order to help track it and keep our communities safe.

What To Do If You Spot A Coyote In Your Neighborhood

According to Coyotessmart.org, you need to do the following things if/when you see this animal.

1. Be as big and loud as possible. Yell to scare it away.

2. Do not approach it

3. Wave your hands and throw something near it if you have to.

That's All

This is all we know at this time. We haven't heard any reports of attacks. This is just a caution to those enjoying the beautiful day outside.
