Wentz Completes Just 11 Passes in 27-20 Loss to Redskins
Carson Wentz for the first time in his NFL career, has a losing streak following a 27-20 loss to the Redskins.
Washington did a good job all game holding the Eagles offense in check. The only thing keeping the Eagles in the game in the first half was their defense and special teams.
Wendell Smallwood returned a kickoff for the Eagles 86 yards for a touchdown and Malcom Jenkins intercepted Kirk Cousins and returned it for a touchdown.
Washington was up 21-14 at the half.
In the second half, Washington still did a good job keeping the Eagles offense in check keeping them out of the end zone for the entire half and allowing the Eagles to kick only two field goals.
Wentz finished the day 11 of 22 for 179 yards. He had no touchdowns and no turnovers. This was the first time Wentz has not thrown at least one touchdown in a game in his NFL career.
The Eagles have now lost two straight following their bye week. The Eagles are home against Minnesota next week.
