A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR MORTON COUNTY- WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE AREA** Updated at 7:30a 10/4Rain beginning today, changing to a mixture of freezing rain into a mixture of snow will impact the area Friday morning through Saturday. The area can expect heavy, wet snow with a gusty northerly wind from 30-40 mph.


The early fall storm could produce heavy wet snow and has the potential to cause travel delays, downed tree limbs and power lines. There is the potential for snow accumulation that could impact travel.

The forecasted temperatures going into the weekend are; Thursday 57/36, Friday 40/29, Saturday 47/28, Sunday 59/40. Possible snow accumulation by Saturday morning, 1-2 inches.
