Why Are Bismarck-Mandan Drivers Always Driving On the Wrong Side of the Road?
Coming from a North Dakotan, North Dakota drivers are THE worst. And the worst of the worst drivers are on the roads daily here in Bismarck-Mandan. I see people run red lights long after the lights have turned. And, for some reason, there are tons of highway drivers who drive well under the speed limit in the fast lane. But the worst of the worst drivers are those who drive the wrong way down the road. And it happens far too often.
While I was driving home from supper last night, my friend called to ask if I saw the person who turned the wrong way on the road. I had not seen this happen, but my friend told me that the car took a left to go south on State Street, but turned into the North-bound lanes! How does this happen?
I may have missed that instance, but I see plenty of drivers going the wrong direction in Bismarck-Mandan. I mostly see it happen on the one-way roads, which I can kind of understand why it happens. But I also frequently see it happening all around the area. Then, there are the tragedies that happen because of that type of reckless driving.
I, myself, have also almost been in an accident because of a person driving the wrong way down the road. One day, I was behind a car, driving east from the strip in Mandan to Memorial Bridge. All of a sudden, the driver in front of me slammed on their brakes because they were about to collide with a car that had turned into the east-bound lane after exiting off Bismarck Expressway. Luckily, it was only a close call. But still
