Parking Wars at Bismarck Walmart: Frustrated Shoppers Call for Order
I'm sure you've seen the post on Bismarck's People Reporting News, and I'm sure you've even seen it in person. It's getting out of hand, and it honestly seems like it's getting worse.
The Bismarck North Walmart parking situation is nothing short of chaos. Take a look at this picture.
One person does it, then another person thinks, "If they're doing it, I can," and it snowballs.
People are taking advantage of the large loading zone (or fire lane, perhaps) in front of the doors and are parking their cars there. Most of the cars have someone inside, waiting while their friend or family member runs through the store.
You can rationalize it all you want and say, "They just ran in for one thing," but let me be perfectly clear: there is no such thing as a quick trip through Walmart. You have to walk half a mile just to get to the milk.
These people clog the loading zone, and it overflows into the road. They have little to no concern about others while they sit there and scroll on their phones.
They must be stopped. Doesn't Walmart have rules against this? Is there someone to enforce this? Shall I invest in a blowhorn and scold these people as I drive by? That's probably not a good idea, but man, is it tempting.
Also, to the poeple who can't manage to pull up their car all the way to the line in the parking spots, you need to get it together too. We can't even drive down the aisle with your car sticking out like that.
Anyway, if you are one of these people, STOP IT. You're being lazy and causing chaos.
