Carson Wentz is back in Bismarck and spoke with some local high school athletes at Sanford POWER on Monday (July 2nd).

According to KX News, the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback spoke about several topics with the young athletes. Most notably, Wentz spoke about the importance of his faith keeping him humble and how crucial it is to never take anything for granted.

Wentz answered several questions from the young athletes and talked about what it was like being back home in Bismarck:

[Bismarck] definitely still feels like home. Coming down here and seeing Century High School, Horizon Middle School, seeing Centennial, where I came from. It obviously looks different every time I come home. A new building's going up or a new housing development, but it's always great to be here.

When asked about the progress of his knee injury, Wentz noted that he's doing most everything on it and the last big hurdle in his rehab process is being cleared for contact by the doctors.

If you're wondering what his progress to this point looks like, last week, Wentz spoke at a high school football camp in the Fargo-Moorhead area and even took some time to throw a few passes (without his knee brace).

Wentz is still aiming to be back on the field for the start of the NFL regular season in Week 1 when the Eagles take on the Atlanta Falcons for Thursday Night Football on September 6th.
