Check Out These Hilarious ‘Definitions’ Of North Dakota & Minnesota
Sometimes you find yourself with a little too much time on your hands. When that happens, you start looking up strange things on the internet. That's exactly what I did today, and I have to say, the results of my search didn't disappoint.
You might not know this, but you can actually find definitions of states (Definitions being a somewhat loose term in this instance). All one has to do is go to the good ol' Urban Dictionary website and type in the name of the state.
North Dakota
North Dakota's gave me a little chuckle. It was defined as this:
North Dakota
1.) Not Canada
2.) Where most of the film, "Fargo," wasn't filmed.
It also had this phrase at the bottom in italics:
"Isn't North Dakota part of Canada? -- No."
While that's amusing, just wait until you see what was written for Minnesota.
Minnesota
Minnesota's Urban Dictionary "Definition" was quite long, so I'll give you the highlights.
The state was defined with the following phrases:
60 above zero degrees, Floridans turn on the heat. -- Minnesotans plant gardens.
50 above zero, Californians shiver uncontrollably, while people from Duluth sunbathe.
15 above zero, New York landlords finally turn up the heat. -- People in Minnesota have the last cookout before it gets cold.
Zero degrees people in Miami die; Minnesotans close the windows.
That's just a small portion of the entire definition, but you get the idea. All little dramatic, no? In any case, it gave me a good laugh.
As always, thanks for reading. Ta-ta!
