Five Places to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Bismarck
Friday, May 5th will be here once again and that means it's time to celebrate Cinco de Mayo!
It's that time of year when people of age drink all the margaritas and tequila they possibly can until the ghost of Benito Juarez appears before them. Not so fast, I just made that up. The reason why we actually celebrate Cinco de Mayo is because, on May 5, 1862, Mexico defeated France at the Battle of Puebla during the French-Mexican War.
In Mexico, it's a minor holiday, but in America, we take it a little further. Typically there are parties, parades, and mariachi music, while we celebrate Mexican culture and heritage with festivals and Mexican cuisine, along with some tasty beverages from time to time. Here's a list of some of the best place to celebrate the holiday in Bismarck.
Arnaldo's
Arnaldo's stands out, even if it's over on Airport Rd. The have an authentic selection on their menu and their special to celebrate the occasion are $2 tacos.
