Williston’s Big Fall Cleanup Is Going All Week Long

The wind has been doing a pretty good job of redecorating Williston these past few days, and not necessarily in a good way. Luckily, Fall Clean Williston is coming up, giving residents a chance to grab some gloves and help tidy things up.

The City of Williston’s annual Fall Clean Williston event is returning September 27 through October 3, 2026, and there is a big change this year. Instead of trying to get everything done in a single day, residents and groups have an entire week to choose when they want to help.

Pick a Zone and Pick Your Day

Individuals, families, businesses, and community groups can register for one of 40 cleanup zones around Williston. You can choose a day, or even several days, during the cleanup week that work best for your schedule.

The city will provide the supplies you need, including safety vests, gloves and garbage bags.

Supplies can be picked up at Public Works, 1121 5th St. E., Door #32. Groups larger than eight people are asked to call ahead to make sure enough supplies are available.

Fill a Bag, Make a Difference

Once your cleanup is finished, leave the full garbage bags along the road in your zone and contact Public Works at 701-577-6368 to let them know where the bags are located.

You can also return any unused supplies or bring your bags directly to Public Works for disposal.

And don't forget to take a picture while you're out helping. Share your cleanup efforts on social media using #CleanWilliston and tag the City of Williston.

Registration and cleanup zone information are available here.

For questions, contact Public Works at 701-577-6368 or CleanWilliston@ci.williston.nd.us.

With an entire week to participate, there are plenty of opportunities to grab some gloves, get outside, and help make Williston a little cleaner, one zone and one bag at a time.
