People helping people - that's the bottom line - to me, that is what life is all about

There are four cities in North Dakota that have an amazing group of men and women who go to work each day changing lives. Better Together ND is in Fargo, Grand Forks, Wahpeton, and Bismarck. I call them angels, and Bismarck has 7 care coordinators whose job it is to guide others to their goals. But it is much more than that.

I talked with one of the care coordinators - Katie Engel - yesterday

Katie is in Fargo, and she has been in the mental health and substance abuse field for 14 years. "We work with those who may be experiencing homelessness, mental health, and substance abuse disorders. Helping individuals complete their probation and parole -we get them on their feet again" I saw one such example yesterday on their Facebook page:

-"After nearly 5 years of experiencing homelessness, Katie’s participant officially moved into a home yesterday!

Thanks to the hard work and compassion of care coordinator Katie and the perseverance of the participant, this incredible step toward stability and hope became a reality.

Every story like this reminds us why we do what we do—because everyone deserves a place to call home"

Can you imagine what it must feel like to be able to give someone HOPE, inspiration and encouragement?

That's what Better Together ND does. I have to repeat something Katie told me on the phone - "Coming into this role ( Care Cordinator ) to help people, I didn't expect them to help me out along the way" - how humble is that? Thank you to all the angels of Better Together ND
