Friday Is National Donut Day & Bismarck Shop Has Free Ones
Friday is National Donut Day
I'm more of a caramel roll guy, but a good donut is pretty hard to beat. My favorite will always be the maple frosted donut. Those delicious morsels of goodness will always take me back to my childhood and our family hunting trips. My father would always stop and pick out a dozen donuts at our local donut shop, and I would make sure there would be at least one with maple frosting.
I've always been a fan of maple anything. I used to put maple syrup on ice cream (a little weird to some), and of course, French toast, waffles, and pancakes. While most kids growing up loved chocolate, I was more of a maple, butterscotch, cinnamon, and caramel treats.
Free Donut Friday
One Local Donut Shop with two locations in Bismarck and one in Mandan, is celebrating National Donut Day in a big way. Bearscat Bakehouse is offering each of its customers a free donut tomorrow, Friday, June 5th.

They have two locations in Bismarck at 1914 North 12th Street and 601 South 2nd Street, one in Mandan at 111 5th Ave Northeast. Bearscat Bakehouse is open from 6 am to 4 pm tomorrow. Did you know that "Bearscat" is the cowboy term for a donut? Nope, neither did I. One thing is for sure, this is one of the most popular spots for donuts in the Capital City.
