But, of course, I am in the 55% of North Dakotans who have no freaking clue what our state motto is. Guilty. So, what is our state motto?

Should we update the North Dakota state motto to reflect current times?
To get a little political, I am not sure our state motto holds up in today's world. Our country is so divided these days. And, to get a little closer to home, even though North Dakota is a pretty conservative place, we are pretty divided within the state as well. Would it be a bad thing if we updated our state motto to reflect the times?
Did you know North Dakota's state motto before looking at the motto map?
