Mandan Spring Clean Up Week Announced 2026
With the snow and chillier temps we're getting this week, it doesn't feel like spring just yet. Try not to let that bum you out too much; warmer and brighter days are ahead!
It's tradition, every year we purge. Out with the old, in with the new. To make this process easier for Mandan residents, the city sets up a Spring Clean-Up Week for special waste collection and free dumping at the landfill for residents. They recently announced the dates for spring 2026.
This year, Spring Clean-Up Week is April 18-25. The City landfill will be open on Saturday, April 18, and Monday, April 20, through Saturday, April 25, from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
According to the city's newsletter, residents can place bulky items on the boulevard curb by 5 a.m. on their regularly scheduled garbage days, but not more than 24 hours in advance of collection.
Only items placed in front of resident houses on the boulevard will be picked up by crews.
The newsletter also states that you should keep your household garbage separate from spring clean-up items. If you're throwing away things like garbage cans, crates, or boxes, they suggest you mark them, so crews know you want those collected.
When it comes to furniture and appliances, crews will pick up items on the boulevard that two people can lift. You will need to make sure appliances do not have food or debris in them.
