Runnings Acquiring Old Central Market and Thrifty White Building in Mandan
A proposal by Runnings has been approved by the Mandan City Commission to purchase the former Central Market and Thrifty White buildings in Mandan.
According to KFYR, the proposal submitted to the City of Mandan included a sale price of $1,025,000. An amount of $1.3 million will be invested in parking lot and building renovation.
Store sales and employment would be expected to double for Runnings in Mandan. Runnings also plans to hire 15 full-time and part-time employees with the new store.
Runnings also looks to expand product offerings for their farm, home, and outdoor equipment at their store off of Memorial Highway in Mandan, which is a 12,000 square foot space.
For over 15 years, Runnings has been an established retailer in the Bismarck-Mandan community selling sporting goods, shoes, clothes, toys, and other supplies. In seven states, they have over 2,000 employees at 44 stores.
At this time, it’s not known when the new Runnings store in Mandan will open.
