Little Life Scams North Dakotans Have Weirdly Accepted
Life is full of many amazing and wonderful things. That said, there are some things that we just suffer through. There are some things that kind of feel like a little scam.
Here are some life rip offs that North Dakotans just deal with.
1. Summer
We all love the summer months, because it's warm and beautiful outside. While this is true it's also a bit of a rip off, because we often get blasted with rain and strong winds during this time. We pay full price but really only get a few weeks of peaceful summerness.

2. Using PTO
PTO is great. We love using it for our own leisure and activities, but it does feel like a bit of a rip off when you have to use it to go to someone else's wedding. Especially if you're paying for travel, hotels, and dresses.
3. Flights
We love jet setting around the country, but can we talk about the glaring problem? This just happened to me the other day. You book a flight for, let's say $374, but as you get further and further into the check out process, more and more fees are added.
Want CARRY ON bags? -- $80. Want your ticket to be exchangeable in case the plane needs maintenance or delays? That'll cost you. By the time you're done, you're ready to just call it off and stay home.
$374 actually ends up being five-hundred and something.
4. Moving
North Dakota nice sometimes comes at a price. If you've ever been asked to help someone move you know this all too well.
You have a truck? Tell no one. You will always be asked to help move. You will also burn up all of your gas going back and forth and do backbreaking labor. For what? Friendship? (Kidding)
5. License Plate Renewal
Do I forget every year? Yes. Is it my fault? Debatable. It should be a one-time fee.
Those are just a few everyday scams you might run into in North Dakota. What are some others? Tell us in the app!
